Retail Foundation Learning (FL) Programme
BDTS offers a range of programmes to suit all ability levels and age ranges. Please contact us to discuss your requirements, our trained staff will guide you towards the right programme for you.
Throughout your training you will have a dedicated and supportive assessor.
What you do
Based at BDTS you will work both in our training centres and also on placement.
You will work towards credits of Level 1 NVQ Award or an equivalent qualification, dealing with customers, handling stock, working in a team, security and health and safety.
You will develop personal skills to move forward to further training and employment.
Working with other young people in our training centre you will learn what's involved in working in retail or warehousing.
Qualifications
You will work towards credits of Level 1 NVQ Award or an equivalent qualification, dealing with customers and developing relevant skills. This consists of 5 units covering a variety of areas which will demonstrate your skills for working in retail and warehousing.
As a part of the programme you will achieve a qualification in Personal & Social Development, which will reflect your ability to work as a part of a team and in one to one situations and to achieve Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
Along with these qualifications you will develop personal skills to move forward to further training and employment.
Eligibility
You must be aged 16 - 18
The programme will last up to 26 weeks.
