You need to be employed in hairdressers/Barbers while studying towards a qualification and will also gain an award that is recognised by employers and educational facilities countrywide.

Hairdressing Foundation Learning (FL) Programme

If you are keen to get the skills necessary to work in hairdressing then Foundation Learning (FL) is for you!

What you do

work both in our training centres and also on placement.
work towards Introduction to the Hair and Beauty sector award
learn about dealing with clients and supporting stylists within the salon
develop personal skills to move forward to further training and employment.

Hairdressing / Barbering Apprenticeship Programme

If you are enthusiastic about working in hairdressing and are happy to commit to a 24 month programme then an Apprenticeship is a smart move.

What you do

achieve 9 units that make up a Level 2 Diploma (NVQ) in Hairdressing / Barbering
work in your salon and attend Christopher Paul for theory and practical training
you need to be employed in a salon
gain Functional Skills / Key skills qualifications in Maths and English

Hairdressing / Barbering Advanced Apprenticeship Programme

Are you an experienced stylist? Do you want to improve your skills and get up to date with latest standards?

What you do

achieve 9 units that make up a Level 3 NVQ or Diploma
specialise in specific areas to enhance your skills
gain Functional / Key Skills qualifications in Maths and English Level 2

Hairdressing Train to Gain / Adult Apprenticeship Programme

What if you are already employed in a hairdressing salon but would like to achieve a Hairdressing NVQ with Christopher Paul?

About Train to Gain / Adult Apprenticeship..

If you are 19 or over, you could be eligible to work towards an NVQ or Diploma at level 2 in hairdressing
You will be able to improve your skills while earning your usual wage
It should not take up any extra time as you can provide evidence for your portfolio as you work

Hairdressing - School Provision:

Christopher Paul Training work with many schools in Bradford & West Yorkshire providing training as part of the 14-19 vocational programmes initiative. Learners work in our town centre training salon, attending 1 or 2 days per week, the remainder of their time is spent at school.
Learners work towards NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing and this gives them a head start if they later wish to pursue a career in hairdressing.
