Employers often find it hard to identify recruits with the right attitudes, skills and knowledge for the jobs they have available. Working with a continuous supply of motivated learners we are ideally placed to help you find staff to meet your needs in all our occupational areas. Learners can start with you for trial periods to ensure that you are both happy and all your recruitment needs have been met.
We can help you to solve your recruitment problems. We can advertise your vacancies in our training centres and work closely with Connexions agencies and the Apprenticeship Vacancy service. Employment Opportunities
We work with over 300 companies in West Yorkshire, many of whom we have worked with for over 20 years. All of these companies have provided placement opportunities to young people who have joined us. Our skilled staff will match your needs with those of the learners and support both you and them throughout the length of their programme. Many of these trials - from the Foundation learning programme - have led to jobs for the learners, giving you, the employer, a skilled recruit, if there are no vacancies we will use our contacts to find jobs for the young people at the end of their training period. The national Minimum wage for an Apprentice is £2.60 per hour, giving you the opportunity to have a cost effective training period. Whilst we never underestimate the commitment and time taken in training and developing young people 300 companies can't be wrong, and that extra pair of hands is always useful! Apprenticeships and Adult Apprenticeships
Training for your existing staff? We can help you add value to your workforce too. If you have employed staff who you would like to train to national standards, or accredit their existing skills we can provide funded* programmes. Research has shown that staff undertaking qualifications at work feel valued and this leads to improved staff retention and motivation. Foundation Learning (FL)
Foundation Learning (FL) is a development programme for 16-18 year olds who are not employed. The programme aims to develop the skills they need to find the right job and make the most of their potential. We need employers willing to offer placements, supporting learners in developing work skills. Our skilled staff will offer support both to you and the learners through the period of training. Many of our Foundation Learning (FL) learners have become employed by their placement providers and have gone on to complete the Apprenticeship programme, becoming valued and committed employees.
